Inclusivity is My Middle Name

A tribute to those who are inclusive at people

Ladies and Gents, and those who are non-binary
It's lovely to see you here in your finery

Ableds, Disableds and those in between
I hope you enjoy my inclusive routine

But I don't have a qualified signer
and brail is expensive, so those with sensory barriers will have to settle for my welcoming body language – but it’s ok, because I am really expressive

Anyway, Lesbians and Gay men and those who are bi or fluid
I am sooo much like you even though I don't....do IT....

I have a lifelong crush on Drew Barrymore, so I like, get it

I blush watching Donnie Darko and I was the same watching Whip It
I get giddy watching a film if Drew Barrymore's in it.....

..apart from ET because that would be seriously creepy

I have a multi-cultural marriage

I am from Irish descent and my husband's paternal great great great grandparents are from Yemen, so technically my kids are of mixed heritage

So my friend Claire is Jewish and her fiancé is Muslim
Her family kicked off because she had brought shame upon them

I have so much empathy because that happened to me too,
Cos my husband is an Evertonian and my Dad hates The Blues

There is a belief division in our city between the blue and the red
My Dad wanted the wedding reception at Anfield, but we chose neutral and chose The Adelphi instead

I have to go now, It’s been a blessing to speak to such an eclectic selection
I’m sure I’ll gain eternal comrades in humanity from this

You see, those of us who have an affinity with diversity
Have such a massive spiritual connection
